Browsing this website

There are no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, social tracking embeds, third-party fonts or optional tracking cookies on this website. Images and fonts are served locally. You do not need to accept optional cookies to use any feature, so this site does not show a cookie-consent popup.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. It processes connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser details and security signals to deliver pages and prevent abuse. Cloudflare may process this information internationally. Its security features may use necessary cookies, such as a challenge clearance cookie when a challenge is enabled. These are for security, not advertising.

The cinematic introduction

The introduction plays a locally hosted video and a banner transition. A sessionStorage preference named chayes-intro-v3 remembers that it has played in this browser tab; it contains only the word seen, is not an identifier, and is not sent to a server. It normally clears when the tab session ends. Reduced-motion settings skip the intro. Skip Intro and Escape open the homepage immediately. The real homepage remains available if the video cannot load or the connection is slow. No movements or viewing behavior are recorded or sent.

Contacting the studio

If the enquiry form is available, it collects your name, email address, chosen service and project message so Carter can respond to your enquiry. Please do not include sensitive personal information. Cloudflare Turnstile loads when you begin interacting with the form and checks technical browser and connection signals to prevent spam. The server verifies every submission. Turnstile is a necessary security service, not an optional marketing tool.

Form messages are delivered using Resend to the studio’s Gmail inbox. Cloudflare, Resend and Google may process enquiry information, including internationally. No enquiry database is maintained by this website. Enquiries may remain in the business mailbox and delivery-provider logs; contact Carter to request access, correction or deletion. Information may need to be retained for an ongoing project or legal obligations. The site does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

If the form has not been configured, you can open Gmail in a new tab, use your default email application, or copy the address. Gmail loads only when you choose its link and may require sign-in; Google’s privacy and cookie policies then apply. Your email provider and the studio’s email provider process correspondence. Copying the address does not send a message.

Instagram and YouTube

When the live Instagram feed is connected, the server retrieves public studio posts from Meta and temporarily caches them for up to an hour. The browser fetches these images from this website, not from Instagram. No Instagram script, iframe, cookie or visitor identifier is used for the feed, and visitors’ IP addresses are not forwarded to Meta by the feed code. The separate photography portfolio always displays the ten supplied gallery photographs. If the feed is not connected or is unavailable, a link to the studio profile remains available.

Instagram and YouTube links take you to external websites only when you choose to click them. Those services then apply their own privacy and cookie policies. No YouTube player is embedded.

Feedback and your choices

Client testimonials are published only when approved. If anonymized community feedback is added, it will be labelled as community feedback, without usernames, profile photos or links to commenters. You may request removal by email.
